You don't have to be a child to love cats. I had a cartoon book gifted to me called "cat codependency" and it stated that an individual's love affair with cats starts enutero when a purring cat sits on mom's pregnant belly. That must have been what happened to me! I'm sure this comes as a great surprise to all given my screen name!
Your quilt is definitely right up my alley and definitely "the cat's meow" in more ways than one. Edited to add that I love that little touch of the multi colored satin stitch around every cat portion of the block.
