The Kona at Jo-Ann is NOT the same Kona as the Robert Kauffman fabric. Don't know how another company uses the Kona name, but they do. The Kona at JAF is thinner and shreds badly. Also, the JAF Kona is not as thick as the "real" Kona.

Kona Fabrics and Robert Kaufman Fabrics ) Now if JoAnn's is putting another product out there with the Kona name on it, they are doing it at their own peril as Kona is a trademark name. And of course, there was my experience where I saw an employee wrapping their low end broadcloth of the same color on a kona bolt. In my situation I fault the employee 100%, either due to lack of training or just not giving a rat's patootie but according to Kaufmann they do not manufacture a lesser quality for JAF.
