Bingo! Yes, thank you. That is the type of pattern I'm thinking, but didn't know it had its own name. When you wrote "Winding Ways," I googled images and there are lots of examples. I just want to do one in Kaffe colors and achieve the same effect, but I don't think I could figure it out on my own without a ton of patience.
