Are you sure it's the version with gear driven motor (a.k.a. potted) or has it an external belt driven motor in the back? Is it even a 201? The plug and socket on the machine are usually three prong. There are hard wired models, but it tends to be 99s or 185s and a few others.
If you want it converted to the typical 201-2 socket and plug setup, you need the black bakelite socket and plug set with the white power switch. If you have a belt driven model, it's a three prong plug set with out the power switch. I guess these are missing on yours. If your have a 201, what you have now can't be the original motor and plug setup. There are wiring diagrams available. There's not real hurry to replace the button type bakelite pedal, it's quite good when it's adjusted and working well. If you post pictures of your machine it would be easier to give more detailed info.
