Do you stitch the pieces down or just rely on a fusible to hold in place. I can see my 10 yo GD wanting to do something like this and fusing would be just the ticket for her.
It depends what the artwork is for. If it's for a wall hanging, I think the fusible works very well. But then, I usually do line quilting which catches a lot of the "ends" of fabric pieces. If I was using it for a quilt, I would do more stitching as it would go into a washer and dryer.
