I have made 4 so far, I currently have one under my needle as I type this, and I have 4 more cut out waiting, and my neighbor and I went to our LQS yesterday where I bought fabric to coordinate with some fabric I had to cut out two more, and I have fabric coming in the mail from Connecting Threads that I will use in some more jelly roll rugs. Can you guess????? I love making these. They are so fun to make.

Iron and steam alot, best press the corners if you have some. I iron and steam after every corner for the first 3-4, after that only if I feel it bowling up and not laying flat.
I use my walking foot, even feed makes a big difference.
Use a jean weight needle.
I use poly thread, cotton skipped in my machine, even with a new heavy needle.
I use my extension table.
ease in your corners by holding the rug as you build it with your left hand, and push and "scrunch" your sewn fabric tube with your right hand.
Youtube has lots of great tutorials, and Pinterest has links to blogs with great tutorials and tips.

Enjoy. They are a lot of fun to make.
