Definitely! Wash like colors together and use a color catcher to see how much is cast off. Dry hot and be there to pounce on them as soon as they are done. You don't want them to wrinkle back up again. I don't use starch myself but I think a lot of people would for homespuns.

Chantal, if the quilt comment was about mine, it is a version of Delectable Mountains with the solid squares of fabric added into the pieced blocks to make that sort of friendship star shape. Was in Quilter's Newsletter magazine about 20 years ago. It's fun working with large scale designs with shapes that are essentially HSTs, like all the ways you can set log cabins. Doing a search on Delectable Mountains brings up all sorts of ways to do it.
