I have been searching for this block for months... found a few versions finally. It can be called a 54-40 or fight block. Look at the Galaxy quilt by Deb Tucker and there is also one or two other names for it. It is also part of the Storm at Sea block. The one I want has a square in a square for the center, which is different than your drawing. I think you have a snowball inside a square. I want to use just one print and a solid. I hope you have found what you are looking for already, or that this information is helpful. Please show your quilt when you get started?

And the "sashing" around the snowball is uneven. That doesn't seem right. Also, the center snowball was proportionately larger. I'm doing a lot of scribbling and erasing.
