Good point. I know some of the later electric White's did, but don't know if the treadle machines hand wheels go the other way. I have a machine that has reverse, but didn't indicate which position was reverse. I needed to figure out the direction of the hand wheel (no motor, treadle, or hand crank) to pick up the bobbin thread, before I could figure out which was reverse.
