Welcome. I think you are saying that the white part is not parallel to the front of the bed. That is how I have seen them. It is so you can see the eye of the needle better. I believe that it is slanted so that it reflects light better. I would imagine if you had light coming from over your right shoulder or right above and straight down, your hand would shade it. If you look at the video at https://help.brother-usa.com/app/ans...included#Video at about 23-25 seconds into the video, you can see that it is at a slight angle.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.
