That is a good idea. I took a Freddy/Gwenny class years ago where we were asked to come to class with lots of parts made...their Parts Department idea. One of the parts was 3x3 grids, or 4x4 grids, and you sewed either 1" strips into sets to get those, or 1 1/2" strips. I began cutting a 1' strip and a 1 1/2" strip off every fabric I bought, and storing them in their own drawers. I can make strip sets from those collections any time I want to sew and not think too hard...
