When we were taking care of Mom, she had alz, I sewed with reckless abandon. Sewing was my coping mechanism. Made so many tops. Mostly queen size. Only two made it into quilts. Now I'm taking these tops, cutting them down, and using them for backings for my Project Linus quilts. Now these quilts are "twofers!" I'm really happy. Getting rid of UFOs, making quilts faster, and kids get something attractive on their bed.
My backs may not always coordinate with the top but then you only see one side of the quilt at a time anyway...lol
