I hear ya, SewingPup. I had a Bernina 1630 back in the day and now have an Artista 180 from the 90's. I'm just praying it keeps working because I really like it. I would never buy the embroidery unit again. Mine hasn't been out of the closet in probably 15 years and there are features that I never use on this machine. I just really like sewing on it. I've actually been on the lookout for another one to buy as a back up.
