I never considered using a cross-stitch pattern as the source for a quilt idea. When I saw your heading, I thought it would be a bunch of cross-stitched pictures set into a quilt. This is so incredibly creative and the final product is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing - I have a bag of cross-stitch patterns tucked away somewhere that might be resurrected one day when I'm looking for an epic project!
