Default Hello from No. California

Found an answer to internet search directing me to this forum so here I am! Been sewing since the 60's, learned from my mother, 4H, & a tad from Home Ec class (remember those?). My first machine was an elegant black & gold White machine in a cabinet. Now I'm sewing on my 2nd Elna machine, not so pretty, but the bells & whistles make up for it.
In my 40's I returned to sewing when time allowed, and on the dining room table. When my brother was expecting their child, I found an adorable baby blanket Simplicity pattern (with a Prairie Point border) that used quilting techniques - which then led me to find a quilting class for techniques. My instructor had years of quilt experience & was fond of minis....what luck! Since the "pandemic" scare, we closed our antique business & now I'm happily quilting & discovering daily. Looking forward to joining here!
