This is such a sweet story. Great work! Pinwheels are a simple old block, but still, just as loved as always. When my granddaughter Nora was turning one year old her mom, my daughter Ashley, requested her a queen size pinwheel. I thought she was crazy, but she said she wanted Nora to grow up, with her quilt and she wanted it big, because she didn’t know what size bed Nora would eventually have. Well Nora’s nine now. She’s had the quilt on her bed all these years. She has a trundle bed that’s pretty high from the floor and when she was younger, had to use a step stool to climb in bed. Doesn’t it make you feel good knowing they love quilts as much as we do.
