You are absolutely right-I made one sample block, and BOY was it stretchy. I think I may not do this pattern. There are other "pyramid" type patterns that may be better, or I may move to english paper piece this or one of the others. Thanks!

As with anything cut on the bias, be very gentle in drawing that line. I think this is a beautiful pattern but all those bias edges make me shudder.
