I have done the same as you, Daren P. For a time I bought beautiful plaid shirts at rummage and garage sales, and then cut them up into chunks of fabric I can use for quilting. I have made several pretty quilts out of those shirts, but my shirt stash never seems to get smaller! This is a good reminder to make a few more shirt quilts with all that fabric I have.

I agree about how much waste clothing this country produces. So much of it gets banded into huge bales like cotton, and shipped off to foreign lands. They probably don't want it either. So for Heaven's sake, make quilts out of it!
