Many hosting companies take backups and they should be able to help you restore the site from, but if the hosting you have is inexpensive then they may expect you to make the backups yourself and not have done it. If this woman has all the details of your hosting then you really need to get all the access information from her and learn to do everything yourself. It isn't difficult to pick up and taking on the responsibility yourself will make you feel a lot more comfortable and reassured in the long run.
