Take your machine, check out the LQS and see if any are near the route your spouse will be running. Go to the area and cheer her on just to let her know your watching some of her event, be at the Beginning and especially at the finish line, when you think she might be runining across it, even if you have to wait awhile to get to see her. Who knows she might want to go check out some of the quilt stores with you, either the day before or the day after, if they are open, if not there is always another time to shop. When you start to call it a day after a good dinner, your spouse may be so tired, she just wants to sleep, I sure would. You could sew some then if you don't disturb her. Anyway I would take my machine just in case I did get to use it. But I would definitely be there to cheer her on, I'll bet she would be there for you.
