Here's what I accomplished today on my day off work. It's a quilt-as-you-go doll quilt for a special girl who turned 4 today. I'm her nanny and got the day off so mommy and daddy could take her to the zoo. I was going to give her books.... but this is so much cooler, don't ya think? It's one foot square for her stuffed animals.

In hindsight, I should've used black thread for the binding but I didn't have any and didn't want to go out shopping. (You know how dangerous it is in quilt shops... you go in for ONE thing and half the store jumps into your cart!) So it's all done with white thread.

The label is hand embroidered on the back. Everything else is done by machine. Oh and the name? I was thinking of "Funky Girl" but wanted to convey my love for this girl as well as for these bright fabrics and I just think she's the "Cats' Meow!"
