While there I met a quilter from England who asked me if I ever went to Lancaster PA for the Spring show. Of course I do, been going for the past 8 years. She and her friends attend and each brings an empty suitcase to fill with fabrics for the trip home. Fabric shops in the Lancaster area have latest top name fabrics at very low prices, I stock up whenever I'm there. This year lowest per yd for me was 2.99 and highest was 6.49. May in Jersey
I have been to Lancaster several times, but it just dawned on me when I was there last weekend that the prices are $1-3 dollars cheaper for the same material than here at home. Wish I had realized that spooner :oops:
