Nice find, some years back I found an antique settee frame behind a store. I asked if I could have it. I reupholstered it, and refinished it. Had it appraised (the set it at $1500.00). I gave it my sister as a Christmas gift.
That reminds me of a little coffee table a friend of mine gave me, and I gave it to my son. Someone took the metal end legs of an old treadle sewing machine, cut them down a little more than 1/3 from the top part. The box part where the sewing machine lived, that was turned into a large shadow box with a nice heavy glass for the top. The CT is heavy but it is pretty. I didn't have anywhere in my house to put it but my son sures like it. It's in his living room.
