Thanks for the reply. I suppose I have to test it out myself to see if we get along. It appears that some people got lemons.
I figured with the return policy I couldn't go wrong. AND if I don't like it, I get to figure out which features I absolutely need. IF I need to get a different machine, it will help me decide on a Janome versus a Babylock because neither of the machines I looked at have ALL the features I think I want.

It's made for HSN and I thought the sale price was definitely in the ballpark of what I was looking for.
