Thanks WMUTeach for the book suggestion. It's always good when someone recommends a book they have actually used.

I came home from guild with 3 1/2 yards of fabric. But in my defense, it will all work for several smaller Comfort quilts to be donated. So I'm not even feeling the tiniest bit guilty about it.

Teach ty for the suggestion. I did a search with my books and found 4 books, so I think I'm well covered. I bet someone else will order it...lol.

I have been in a productivity lull but I feel myself starting to ramp up again.

I'm missing one quilt book, along with I think a bag of fabric and other paper pieced printed patterns. It shouldn't be so hard to find! I've made quite a mess looking for it and need to concentrate on finding it and checking off areas where I've looked. Fortunately most of the stuff is "just" stacked stuff that isn't stacked and if I go down and turn on my music I can probably make great progress in 15-60 minutes

And hey, I thought of a good box to check -- only it is in the closet on the other side and I need to tidy up first. Temptation is great to just dive in but then the mess will only be bigger.

On the other hand, no new fabric through the door in months??

It's the end of April and I have finally moved fabric out of my stash. I have finished my Bonnie Hunter Indigo Way mystery quilt top. That is 5.5 yards out of stash, plus another 6 yards for the backing. I have a picture of the quilt in the UFO challenge thread. Now, I just need to make binding and send it off to my quilter, who will work his magic.

Oh, Sync that is wonderful. Eleven yards out is marvelous. I will dash over to the UFO thread to see the photo right now!

Silly me I saw your finish a day or two ago and it is gorgeous. I am so impressed with the final results of the BH Mystery quilts. Well done, you are a star!

I took a moment to calculate my "IN" and "OUT" for April and my IN was 2.5 yards (A back for a UFO that is going out to a long arm quilter next week.) My OUT was 27.5 yards. This will likely be my last big OUT for the year. I am getting to the place where there isn't much I want to give away or that I can't put to use as backs or I just like it too much to give away yet.

Two quilts were finished and one more top finished although I don't count that until It is really ready to give away. My guideline for myself. The rest was donations and more heart pillows for breast cancer recovery patients. I am done with hearts, because we have more than 100 pillow covers waiting to be filled. I am now on to making pillowcases for a women's shelter. The organization gave me a HUGE box of batiks to use. I will use all I can then the rest will go back to them to use for scrap quilts.

I am pleased with my year to date total and can relax and just sew up a storm and continue to purchase what is needed to finish the large number of started projects.

Time to sew!
