Now that is a beautiful quilt. I like the way you used the different colors. I always get stuck with one color in the wrong place even though I have a quilt wall and try to get everything going right before I sew it into rows I always get one square out of place. That is a beautiful quilt.

Thanks. I have one more that has quite a bit of purple and mostly Kafe Facett fabrics. It makes you say whoa! But I love it.

Quilter2 and 1screech, what beautiful quilts. Quilter2, the Rail Fence looks really good in purple. I may be leaning towards that, and 1screech, is there any chance that is a Yellow Brick Road? That is one I am really considering also. I am also thinking about Around the World.

I just hope mine comes out half as good as the ones I have seen here.

I remember a purple and creamy yellow quilt when I was very young that a grandmother that I had never known had made....I can't "see" the whole quilt.....maybe I should get hypnotized so I can remember everything about it, the pattern and all of the prints....I want to make a quilt like that!!!! Unfortunately I can't ask my parents if I am imagining things, they are gone now. Hmmm....I will just keep buying fabric until it is right!!!

I am not a purple person, but these purple quilts are beautiful. I need to finish my purple one. The only reason I am making a purple quilt is bc I had a grouping and finally decided to use it.

Thanks. I tend to love the very happy fabrics. Step out of your box and just do it. I always like to throw something in unexpectedly.

No, the purple pizzaz is not yellow brick road. I never bought the fabric. I saw the quilt hanging in one of my LQS and bought the fabric there because she offered to cut it on her accu cut. She was out of the pattern but told me I would be able to figure it out and I did based on how the pieces went together. It is something called something with the number 5 or 6 in it. It is supposed to have only 5 or 6 fabrics (1yard). I added more because I wanted it to be bigger than the pattern. I will try to remember the name or contact the quilt shop and ask them...hopefully they will remember. I will let you know if I find the name.

I made a blue/violet quilt....In bright light it looks more blue; in dim light it looks more purple.
After I got it finished, my Mom asked me if I had gotten purple out of my system.
