    This is beautiful! I am handquilting a sampler I made, my first project. I think my stitches will be as varied as the sampler blocks, getting better as I go ( I think).

    What thread and needle size did you use?

    I love to use the YLI thread for hand quilting. It has a wonderful coating that keeps it from knotting up so much. As to needle size, I really don't remember what size I "settled" on. I read somewhere how to figure out the correct needle for hand quilters and this works for me: Measure the length of your forefinger to the very 1st knuckle. This is how long your needle should be. Yeah, I thought it sounded kind of funny too and I got some really strange looks at my LQS..... :lol: :lol:
