I broke a needle last night and after replacing it the needle seemed to be hitting the bobbin case. I removed the bobbin case and the needle moved freely. But then when I put the bobbin case back in the needle hit it. What could be wrong? :?

I don't have that machine, but... have you cleaned the bobbin area really well ? Sometimes just that small piece of nothing will throw everything off  Also make sure the needle is all the way up in the holder.

I have this Juki and I was wondering if you put the needle in the correct way? The back of the needle faces to the left, not front to back. Does this make sense? I've only used my Juki on one quilt (I bought it used and love it!!) so I'm not an expert, but it's worth a try. Since you broke a needle you I hope you didn't bend or move something in the needle feed. I hope its an easy fix.

I have a Juki 98Q and I've had that problem too. Take your throat plate off and clean the area well, then oil and put everything back together and it should be fine. It's frustrating when that happens.... grrrrr

Thank you to all that replied.....I will try these ideas tonight and hopefully it will be fine. I wish I didn't have to work today, I would love to be able to stay home and sew/quilt all day, but unfortunately that is not part of the plan for me yet. :(
