    The first one was a challenge quilt with my guild. A collaborative effort with 3 friends. Didn't win 1st place but won 3rd.

    Second one was made a very, very long time ago -- like 15 yrs. I've hung it up this year, just like every year.

    I made a quilt very similar to this one for a friend to send to her husband who was stationed in Iraq. She mailed it to him there to keep above his bunk. She gave me a photo of him holding the quilt up in front of a bombed out building at the edge of the desert. It still gives me goosebumps to look at that picture, knowing that's the quilt I made.
