I'm always amazed at the blocks that this pattern will produce. Great fabric choice.

I've only seen a couple stackandwhacks locally. Yours is by far the the most dramatic. I think because there are so few colors in it, it showcases the designs of each block! So wonderful...hope your sister loves it too!

How pretty! And what a heart warming story. I just know your sister will love it to pieces! (Oh, that's what is started out as isn't it?) She can't help but feel the love from you...and your mama when she is wrapped in it.

Our mother (who now resides with the angels) grew blue morning glories at the base of her clothesline post & by the end of summer they would have climbed all the way to the top and each morning would bloom bright & cheery. Sunflowers grow abundantly in Nebraska - in many a roadside ditch, pasture, hillside & even an occasional farmer's field. When I saw the combination of both flowers in one fabric, I KNEW I had to make a Stack n' Whack quilt with it! It's my favorite pattern.

My hope is that when my sis looks at her quilt, it will bring back fond memories of her Nebraska childhood -- and our mom's love of flowers. By the way..... mom was a quilter ;)

    Thanks for looking,
I enjoy seeing all YOUR lovely photos!!
 I love your quilt, it's beautiful.
