    Hello Everyone!! :D

Elisabrat is your Hostess for the month of August, but she has asked me to post the August block, for her. She has been ill with phneumonia for almost a month. Please eveyone wish her well!! Thank You..........Cheryl

August's block is called, June Braid. It is from a BOM collection on Blue Mountain Quilter's Guild site. Here is the web site, to get the directions for your pattern.

    http://bluemountainquiltersguild.ca/block-of-the-month

Scroll down to the first row of blocks & it is the one on the far right. I hope everyone enjoys making this one, too!! :D

Now rev-up your sewing machines & go to work. I can't wait to see all of the beautiful blocks that will be made.

    Let's have fun together!!
    :D :D :D :D

    Ladies, Guess What? :D

I went over to my Mom's today & we cut out her August block. She started sewing the Braid part together & it goes together really slick & easy. I could hardly believe it myself. I am working on mine & hope to post it very soon. Give it a try, you'll love it!!

I am glad you asked this question!! :D In the picture of this block it doesn't show a flower. I thought with the main block being 8 1/2 inches square, a person could really show off a pretty piece for floral farbic. I have used a large print of an Iris flower, with matching colors for the braid. I think it is looking really nice. I will post it soon!! Good Luck!!
