LJ: I'm sorry. WE sometimes forget people are new.
The theme for August was fabric with food prints - apples, watermellon, etc. We send a fat quarter (18" x 22") to the person who lost the most weight.
A pm means private message. Look at the top of this page. In all the different tabs you can click, one says private message. This is like email, but it only stays on this website. You will type Candlequilter (name) in the top of the message. You ask for her name and address. She will pm you back with the answer.
You only send a fat quarter if you signed up to participate. If you would like to participate for September, you need to go to the Weight Loss Challenge for September thread and sign up today. If you can't find it through search, send me a pm (Gwyn) and I'll help you.
I remember when I joined I had to ask what LOL meant. I know, I'm old. You will get it really fast. And we are all friendly. Gwyn

I was thinking this morning that it would be great to share tips and tricks to staying on our weight loss programs while attending a BBQ. My family is having a BBQ on Monday and I thought others might be doing the same this weekend. Here are four of the best tips and tricks from the Hungry Girl. I found some of her tricks fascinating as I had never thought to do that before. Check it out!

I will also post this on the September thread. I hope everyone is doing well today. I made yakisoba for dinner last night and had the leftovers for lunch (about 300 calories). I have also started eating oatmeal for breakfast and have found that it keeps me full until lunch. That is a really GOOD thing for me because I tend to snack in the mornings. In about an hour or so I will eat a peach for snack and drink at least a couple more bottles of water.
Anyone else have any tips to help us survive this weekend with our diets intact?
Missy
