I have been quilting for about two years and really enjoy it. I have been reading the message board and have been learning alot from all of your wonderful quilters. :)
A question for you: How do you price your quilts for selling? I know to charge for the material but how do you charge for your time? Thanks to all!

    Hi! Welcome from Minnesota!

I have only sold a few Bow Tucks bags and the way I figured it was to double the cost of the materials. For example, if the materials cost me $20, I'd charge $40.

Welcome. I'm also from Western PA. When it comes to pricing quilts, especially in this area, it can be challenging. If you're selling in the actual Pittsburgh area you get higher prices; north of Pgh the prices are lower if you can sell them at all. I guess you have to know your demographics. Good luck with selling your quilts and again, welcome!

HI! I'm originally from Monongahela, but now I live on the other end of PA.

I too have wondered what to charge if selling quilts or other things

If you got to the search button and type in 'pricing a quilt' you will get many different responses.
