While I would love to be able to shop exclusively at LQS'. However, between budget constraints and the fact that not all of my sewing needs are met by quilting shops, as well as the fact that I am more than 50 miles from any other type of fabric store, ie,. Hancocks, Beverly, Joanns, I don't want my Walmart Fabric Center to go away. So even if you don't like Walmart, don't like their fabrics, etc., please sign this petition so that those of us for whom it is the only local option will not lose out. Thank you!

My closest Wal Mart with fabric is 60 miles away, and I will drive that to buy their fabric. I'm not rich, and I can't afford some of the fabric at quilt shops. I have made LOTS of quilts and 'heirloom' clothes for the last 20 years for my nieces and my daughter, and I have never had a problem. I think it has been said here before...you get what you pay for.

i went to north austin,tx walmart. had been one of my fav. stores, no fabs, no magzines on quilting, no reason to go in, the new store layout is confusing and i wont go back. its very frustrating. they promote machines, no one can answer questions, they promote crafts-yet sell imports. cheap pre pkged fabric reminds me of pkgs sent out to country stores back in the 50's/ and then some walmarts barely cover food anymore. some have a great selection but then take out products that i have used all my life, and find crap to sell.
more junk plastic in some stores than better products. it reminds me of the old junkie gibson stores.

Please sign this petition so there will be some open so people who do not have a choice can still continue with the craft and artform of quilting because it feed the heart of people who love it.

I too am totally discusted with Walmart remodeling....I very rarely go to the store now...the selection is so meager its not worth going to two places...I use to shop exclusively now I almost never go they also got rid of most of the notions too....
