This quilt is a jewel. The hanky has been replaced by the kleenex box, and this is going to be a real treasure in days to come. Wonderful way to preserve them. I've been thinking of framing some of my mother's (I don't have enough for a quilt), and passing them on to my granddaughters.

Your quilt is outstanding. I too have the hankerchiefs from my great aunt. Haven't seen your pattern before. Really nice.

I have a quilt top that I did with the butterflies made like yours. I put it together at least 15+ years ago. I saw it a couple of years ago-unfinished. We have since moved and I spent half the morning and all afternoon going through our storage room and haven't found it. I know it wasn't thrown or given away. Still have one extra bedroom to go through the closets and under the bed looking for it. I'd really like to finish it. I used all my aunt's hankies after she passed away to make the top. Still love the butterflies.

Beautiful. Wish I had seen it before I got rid of all my old hankies.

I have saved a number of these hankies and I have tried unsuccessfully to find a pattern for this quilt. Can you help? Also, are the hankies appliqued on or cut up and quilted into the square?
