I am trying to decide which of these variations would be right. I have 16 blocks and I wonder if I need to put sashing between the blocks or leave it out and add just the pink border. I have darker pink fabric if you think I need to use it instead of what is in the pics. Please give me your input.

this is with the border only

I can use a darker pink if needed.

this is what the block will look like with the pink around them.

Thank you for that information. It will mean I cut down the number of blocks used. I have a little girl who would love me to makes her some thing with the left overs. I used EQ7 to design the blocks with the real fabrics. It makes it easier to see what the finished block looks like.

I think it looks much nicer with the pink sashing too!

As so often happens with opinions on this board, I have a different one, though I know Sulabug is one of our most respected contributors :-)

I like the shapes that are created in the corners when you put the blocks together without sashing.

Of course you may need the sashing to make the quilt a little bigger and that would make good sense too. Good luck, it's a nice quilt either way.

You did such a good job on the blocks, they look so good. I think having the pink between each really makes them stand out. Good job!!

Do you have a picture of the darker pink? That maybe better.

    THANKS.
I have enough blocks and it is for a baby quilt about 45inches square. I will get the darker pink and send a photo tomorrow.

I think the sashing would work beautifully, very nice work on your blocks.
