Sometimes, just for fun, when I make a blouse or Tshirt, I'll
embroidery my full, legal maiden name on it in pictures.

    A flower...a bovine..a bird in flight

And remember that way back in the 1930s a lot of advertising was going on in the dairy business.

Libby Leham told us about this in the 90's I haven't done it, but she does on every quilt. She stitches her name just like an oil artist lower rt. corner.

I put my initials and the year or "Grandma" and the year inside a heart in a corner.

I sign all mine with a Peace Sign, sometimes hidden, but always there.

My initials in the shape of a coyote are on almost all of mine. Just the very early ones don't have it. Thus my 'handle' is Coyote Quilts.....

I have never put anything on any of mine..this makes me think I should be doing something...I know I always put my initials and the year on the cross stitch ones that are framed...I take a picture of every quilt and have them in an album.....that way, even tho the quilt has been given away, I have a record and can go back and look and decide if I want to use that pattern again.

In the beginning of quilting, I didn't think signing was important. When I thought about how they will be handed down in the family, I got it. I now sign all my quilts.
