:-) Ihave been wondering how a person is supposed to be able to learn how to do the blocks shown in the little boxes at the bottom of the message board. I know you can buy them but I don't have the money to buy a new pattern everytime I want to learn a new technique, because I'm on a fixed income. Is there some place a person can go to get examples of some of these blocks and how to do them?

There are a lot of free tutorials here and elsewhere - links are often given. Look under the 'search' topic on the top to find the ones here. The Missouri Quilt Co. has lots of free tutorials also. Many places have free patterns. We love freebies here!!! Ask and you will find lots of help!

There was one something about wings at least I think thats what it said that looked interesting. It was probably way above my skill set yet but it interested me.

Check out Rhonda's tutorials, they are easy to follow and very clear,

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-38879-1.htm

If you scroll down the page after the tutorial she also lists other tutorials and projects she has posted.
