I love to quilt and I have a few already finished with the exception of the binding. I have tried and tried everything I could find online with no success. No matter what I do how I pin it etc it always puckers. Does anyone have any ideas that would help me.

Try using a walking for for sewing the binding onto the quilt, it will handle all of the layers better than your piecing foot. Also, slightly lengthen your stitches. :D:D:D

try glue basting it down. Glue & sew it one side at a time. Works for me. =)

also try cutting your binding on the bias and then stich less tucking and puckering.

It may also have something to do with how you've cut your binding. Bias binding will stretch and do all kinds of wonky stuff if you use it on straight edges. Save that for curves.
When you cut your binding, try cutting it on the straight grain the length of your fabric instead of the width. The width has more stretch than lengthwise.
Another trick is to starch the "crap" out of it when you're folding and pressing it before attaching it.
"If it's wild, tame it with starch!"

I found a great tutorial on binding from a website called:

Scroll down the page a bit to find the binding tutorial - it's on the right side of the page. I have it printed out & keep it pinned to a corkboard near my machine so I can refer to it every time I put binding on a quilt. I always pin the binding down as directed, machine stitch it (right sides together) to the front of the quilt with the walking foot, then hand stitch the back while watching a good movie. None of my quilts have puckered (so far). The tricky part is connecting the last bit of binding. There is also a GREAT video on Youtube on binding that solves this little problem: Quilt Binding: Joining Ends, Marci Baker of Alicia's Attic. Hope this helps!

If you use a walking foot you shouldn't need to pin the binding in place when you attach it.
