DD BFF from NY lives in East Islip, and DD was there in Sept for her wedding. My children attended school at St Mary's E Islip then St John the Baptist, W Islip. I am from Bayport before moving.

Oh almost forgot I was so excited about Lindenhurst, it reminded me of home as LI will always be home to me....

WELCOME TO THE BOARD.......you will love it here!!!!!!
Love Patsy's Bakery. People drive from all over to get their cannolis! My sister teaches in Bayport and my BFF's son is a coach at St. john's. Small world...isn't it!
What grade does your sister teach? How long has she been working there. My kids went to Bayport/Bluepoint schools until DS was in 7th and DD was in 5th. I have old friends/neighbors who have children that attend Baypot/Bluepoint schools. I wonder if your sisiter has any of them. What does BFF sons coach?

My sister used to teach ( for the last 11 years)first grade at Academy Ave elemtary school. This year she started teaching 5th grade in one of the other elemenatry schools. Her last name is Camenzuli. My BBF sons coach lacross at St. johns.

I lived in Valley Stream and went to Blessed Sacrament Grammer School, now living in Reading, PA. I go to Long Island almost every month. My family is still there. My son hated PA and moved back to NYC.
I call myself a Displaced New Yorker.
well, welcome, happy to have you. PS there is a quilt show in Long Island - keep your eyes open, probably in the spring.
