    I have had people appalled at my behavior in general especially at quilt camp (LOL). Does that count? Leaving in the am for quilt camp. I'm so excited!!!!

There will be evidence of past meals that can be sifted through. "Look, Great-grandma Mattee must have LOVED ketchup!"

    Anyway, I won't cover it. I understand completely why some people would. What I don't understand is that this woman seemed truly appalled that I choose not to. I mean really, it is MY project, right?

    Anyone else have experience with classmates being appalled at your quilting behavior?

    Sounds like a woman that takes things WAY too serious! I love what I create but I love it more when its USED..not torn up & trashed but Used & Loved.

    didnt I read here a long time ago, about the extra piece of fabric sewn on the top of quilts, so drool didnt get on the quilts? I thought that was funny also. How about getting beautiful carpet, then covering large sections of it with a second carpet to protect the first?

    Isn't that the whole idea behind a table topper? Put it on the table and when it gets dirty just pop it in the wash? Does she put plastic on her quilts too?

    And the problem with just washing her topper would be....???

    Geesh, she probably flattens and dries her used paper towels, too. :roll:

    Man she would not like what I do the my quilts. i use them for Everything ie: in the dog bed, table cloths, floor cloths as well as wall hangings & the good old quilt on the bed.

    They are best wash & wear. It doesn't get any better. They are made to be used is how I feel.

    You are good!! I would have been laughing ssoooooooo hard I would not have been able to finish my item. Aren't you glad we enjoy what we do and enjoy USING what we spend our time doing.
