Try a different bobbin. Some are shaped differently and won't work.

Do those machines need oiling? I know my brother messes up the threads bigtime when it doesn't have enough oil in it

I agree with the others. First start with the thing you changed: the bobbin. Is it the right size? Is it going in the right direction. Take out, rethread. Then rethread your top thread. Change your needle. Try sewing again. I wouldn't do anything with tension unless none of the above work. Let us know if anything helps.

a simple rule to remember, If the thread tangles on the top of your fabric, the problem is with the bobbin. If the thread tangles on the bottom of the fabric, the problem is with the top (i.e. threading, needle, etc.)
It is probably something simple, like putting the bobbin in the case in the wrong direction--just try flipping it over, front to back.
I do think it is a good idea to visit your dealer again for a quick tutorial on how to outsmart the machine.
Good luck, and don't get frustrated!

I took it to the dealer today and he played with it and it did the exact same thing...which I am glad...I was worried that it would not do it for him..kinda like when you take your car to a mechanic and it doesnt make the same "sound" (that is why I am glad my hubby is a mechanic) lol...he said that the timing was way off ..whatever that means and took it for a few days so the repairman could fix it so I guess it will get a good "tune" up so I can hopefully get my first top done while I haev this week off. :) Thank you all soooooooo much your help is amazing so glad I found this forum ;)

So glad that it did it for the dealer! I too have experienced the frustration of taking a care to the mechanic only to have it perform perfectly!

Hopefully they won't have to keep it for long. Do have to wonder what caused the timing to go wonky between one bobbin and the next...hmmmmm....

That would be my guess also.
That's what I was thinking, too.
