Candy's is a great store. The selection is great...you can spend a whole day there and still not see everything they have to offer. The owner is Candy Lee. She is a wonderful lady and very friendly. However, there is an employee by the name of "Susan" (I believe she works mostly weekends) who has a reputation for being difficult. I try to avoid shopping on the days she is there. If us customers would start complaining, her attitude might change!

I shop at Candi's all the time and especially on weekends, I have never found any of the ladies to be anything but fun and very helpful.

Maybe she was just having a bad day.

I went to Candy's this past spring when I was visiting my daughter in Simi, and OMG, it truly is paradise. I did not want to leave. My daughter and I had my little redheaded grandson with us and he can be a real pistol. But the ladies there were so good to him. Said they wished all the little boys that came in were as good. I found quite a few good things to buy, but the best was the dragon fabric Sean found for me to make him a dragon bag with.

At the counter they had a notebook, or several, that had all kinds of free patterns for you to choose from. I thought that was pretty fun. I was good, but I wanted to just take one of each.

The place was so open and friendly, which also made it a true quilters paradise. I can not wait to go back.

Great bargains. Great colors, lots of texture. Good for Jake, he definitely deserves a quilt. I made a quilt for my 11 year old lab several years ago, and super batted it, and filled a large square with left-over too small scraps, and thaat is where you would finsd him, he would even drag it to where the people were, then when he got older we would bring it to where we were, I should have made him a couple of them. He was a great dog, and he definitely deserved them.
