    A friend has asked me to finish a quilt top that a family member had made. It is the one big lone star. She has no directions for filling inbetween the stars and how to do the border. I am rather a new quilter. Can anyone help? Margy

    Welcome aboard. Usually it's several large squares, large triangles and a border if you need it bigger.
