    To all of you who have asked - I did not not have the templates (even though I have a closet full of pattens I usually want to work on something I don't have a pattern for!) I was able to buy a 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 hexagon ruler at Joann's. I then cut a template out of felt so that I would be able to line the center batting and fabric up right. They are quick and easy to make. I did most of a second one today and will make placemats to match for a sister gift.
