I diffinatly would invest the money into the cleaning and the attachments that you want for it. I use my Pfaff 7570 or my Singer 301 for all my piecing and quilting. I use my Brother 4000D for embroidery only. Those high dollar machines are not built like the older ones. To much to go wrong with all the computurized stuff on them. My workhorses are built for the tuff stuff!!!

I think it's worth it. My grandmother sewed with Bernina, but I don't know what happened to her machines. They were workhorses though, I know that. Hope you can find the power cord. Even if you can't, I think it's worth the cost of a replacement cord. Enjoy your machine!

By all means have it looked at!!!!! I have the same machine and it is a work horse!!!! The Bernina shop asked if I would sell it, they had some clients that were looking for one. I told them NO! You will get a ton of use out of that machine. I also had the cord replaced about two years ago, it had a short in it.

    You have a fantastic machine!

Definately worth it.... It's one of the best Bernina's ever made. I would buy it from you in a heartbeat.... a lot of people would. Keep it and use it. You will love it.

I've had my 930 since 1983 and it is a workhorse. My "good" machine is in the shop, my 930 is on my sewing table! It's solid, easy to maintain and just doesn't quit!

Lucky you! Find that cord! I Love my 930. They are built so solid. Have never had a problem and I really use mine.

They sell after market power cords on e-bay much cheaper than the real ones if you can even find one

Keep it!!!! I love my 930 and will do whatever I need to do to keep it going. I have never heard a complaint about a 930, only that it is the best little workhorse of a machine that Bernina ever made.

Are you saying the Bernina Company cannot provide a cord for it? They may be able to tell you where to look. I have a Bernina 830 that I purchased about 25 years ago and it's a great machine.
