    You could put all your fabric scraps and your batting scraps in an old pillow case and sew up the end and it will be a pet matress, my quilting group does this all the time.
    Animal shelters love them.

    This is why I have a small dish on table, that I use for crumbs and threads- it is not cute but it works!

    Yes that is a problem of mine too. I will have to find a cup that fits mine.
