Has anyone ever heard of a khwala (not sure of spelling) cabinet . It's suppose to have a pull out table shelf type thing and also you hid your sewing machine in it ....Also stores fabrics/templates/ect.........i guess shelves pull out in all directions and then closes up really compact and small.....not sure i'm discribing this right. i have googled for this and no help found...

You must mean Koala. I have one but it is not the fold up one you discribe. Mine is long and the top folds out for a large quilting area with a cut out for the machine which can be droped down when not in use and top folded back over. Has two drawers and two shelves underneath. They make all kinds plus add ons and one that you describe. I have seen them advertised in quilting magazines and your local shop that carries machines and sewing tables may carry that brand. That is how I got mine.

    http://www.koalacabinets.com/

Also, check out your local craigslist.org - my friends have found great deals on there.

As for retail locations (dealers), compare prices carefully. And negotiate to have some of the extras included.;-)

They are great tables. Pricey. But really well made.

Arrow also has good tables, but a much lower price point.

I just bought a "floor model" and absolutely love it! The fold up section for quilts in the back, drops down when I am not using it. More importantly the great space on the left of the needle is so important to quilting and not dragging away from the needle. If you can get one at 1/2 price--I would say "Just Do It!"

Nancy's Notions has them also, don't think that would be the cheapest place to get them but, not sure. Good luck.
