I have just completed my first bargello for a queen size bed. Need advise on best way to quilt. I primarily hand quilt but don't want to echo each 2" block (1500 of them). I have done some machine quilting, mostly in the ditch. Any ideas?

I could you pick a wave in the quilt and do a wave cross hatching?

When I quilted my bargello, I followed the wave and quilted a diagonal in each square using a varigated thread with the colours in my quilt. It really enhances the wave.
