I can't seem to get past the continuous bias binding method. It works so well, the final product is easy to work with and it's easy to make. I cut different widths, depending on the final look I want from my binding and use fabric that either matches or contrasts, again depending on the desired effect. I have a stiff paper bag that I drop my binding into that I put on the floor under my sewing machine and feed the binding up from there. My big challenge is learning how to sew it on, then sew it down all by machine.

I make my own. It isn't difficult. Sometimes I have even pulled the backing fabric over to the front as binding.

I make my own also but use 7 1/2 in strips folded twice that way the binding won't wear out before the quilt does. i miter the corners also.

Make my own. Have done so with the bias tape maker or cut the strips a little wider and double it. The double wears better so use on a quilt that will bet lots of love and use.

I make my own. Seems a bit more cost effective to make my own binding and bias. Missouri Star quilts says you can get at least 250 inches of bias strip from half a yard of fabric. And by doing my own I can do my binding in any color or print that I want...though it seems a lot of the time for my quilts I end up going with solid black. lol.

I make my own as well. Once I learned how to do this. I like it a lot better than the pre made stuff.

I always make my own. I cut it at 2 3/4 inches and iron it in half.

Always make my own. Then can get the width and colour I want with no problems.
